Nanotechnology is used as a key technology in numerous areas. The consideration of opportunities and risks will be the focus of the symposium. During the two-day event, various topics will be covered, such as the use of nanotechnology in textiles and packaging, its application in agriculture, the introduction of nanomaterials into the body, and future-oriented assessment approaches. The symposium is organised by the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) in collaboration with Fraunhofer Nanotechnology FNT.

In the session "V Nanotechnology in Agriculture" (May 31, 13:00 h) Dr. Michael Jank from Fraunhofer IISB will give a presentation on "Printed Ion-selective Sensors for Precision Agriculture".
