International Conference on Electric Airships – Decarbonizing Aviation
Airships are an extremely interesting concept: Their energy efficiency is unbeatable, they do not require runways, and they can navigate freely in space similar to a helicopter. Flexible thin-film solar cells, highly efficient power electronics, and lightweight batteries enable the construction of a new generation of airships. This includes drones, high-altitude airships, and airships for cargo and passenger transport.
On September 28 - 29, 2023, the Who's Who of international airship builders and researchers will gather for the International Conference on Electric Airships at the Energie Campus in Nuremberg.
As part of the technical program, Prof. Martin März, Head of Division Power Electronic Systems at Fraunhofer IISB and member of the Conference Committee, will deliver a presentation on Power Electronics for Aircraft and Airship Applications.
