We're back with news from our "Flying Cubes" team Susanne Beuer and Helene Gehles, who joined Fraunhofer AHEAD in february this year. The objective of this program is to bring promising ventures to the market, such as the IISB's "Flying Cubes" approach: a novel, ultra-fast and deposition-free strategy for Focused Ion Beam (FIB) cross-section preparation in semiconductor manufacturing.

Back in february, during the initial kick-off bootcamp, Susanne and Helene successfully qualified for phase I, which has just come to an end. To be accepted for phase II - the last and most important phase - they had to pitch their results from the previous months to a jury of hightech-proof experts. Susanne and Helene demonstrated the continuous development of their approach in terms of product, market, and team readiness. With their convincing go-to-market strategy, they were able to enter phase II of the AHEAD program. This is a major success, as it underlines the maturity of the "Flying Cubes" and initiates the last big step towards transfer to market.
Congratulations to Susanne and Helene on this important milestone on the journey from lab to fab!
