Electric actuator system with integrated e-motor, electronics and gearbox that reaches a peak power of 3.5 kW and a torque of 250 Nm at a maximum temperature of 65 °C for robotic applications (housing: diameter 125 mm, length 70 mm).
The German Robotics Conference brings together participants from science, industry, politics, and start-ups to strengthen the connection between research, innovation, and technology transfer.
In the exhibition, Fraunhofer IISB will present its research activities on electric actuator systems for robotic applications.
Our research team focuses on the development of electric motors based on various concepts, aiming for highest torque density and highest integration, as well as on the high level of integration with SiC and GaN inverters, which are developed by the IISB converter groups. Our portfolio covers the entire development chain, from design to the prototypical realization of complete actuator systems. Thanks to our 25 years of experience in the field of power electronics, Fraunhofer IISB offers comprehensive testing equipment, such as our motor test bench for different applications, which is also used for research on electric motors for robotic applications.
