Conference / March 04, 2026 - March 06, 2026
German Crystal Growth Conference (DKT 2026)
DTK 2026 will take place under the auspices of the German Society for Crystal Growth (DGKK) and will focus on the scientific foundations of experimental, theoretical, and applied crystallization. Key topics include the growth and characterization of bulk semiconductors, epitaxy of III/V semiconductors, crystal growth kinetics, and the development of crystals for laser applications and nonlinear optics. Industrial crystal growth and crystallization for solid-state and quantum materials research will also feature prominently in the program.
DKT 2026 will comprise a diverse range of invited talks, contributed presentations, and poster sessions. Furthermore, it will be accompanied by an industry exhibition.
The following presentations report on research results from Fraunhofer IISB:
PVT growth of 2-inch AlN bulk crystals using floating seed approach
by G. Lukin et al., talk on Wed, March 4, 16:25 - 16:45 h
Minority charge carrier lifetime for evaluating 4H-SiC epitaxial growth by microwave detected photoconductivity decay
by B. Kallinger et al., poster session, Thu, March 5, 14:00 - 15:30 h
3D adaptive modelling of diamond crystal growth in the high-pressure-high-temperature (HPHT) process
by M. Lang, poster session, Thu, March 5, 14:00 - 15:30 h
Towards an optimal strategy for cooling down a single crystal from growth to room temperature not exceeding the critical resolved shear stress
by M. Zenk et al., talk on Fri, March 6, 9:35 - 9:55 h
In conjunction with DKT 2026, on March 4, the "Arbeitskreis Simulation and Machine Learning" will have a meeting starting in the morning to present and discuss topics related to either simulation or machine learning. Our IISB colleagues A. Kerschbaum and C. Straub will give presentations at this meeting.
