Solutions for improved electronic power conversion in aeronautics 

POWER4AIR is developing innovative technologies for a safe, efficient and reliable power supply in the aviation sector. The aim is to enable the next generation of power electronics for aviation, in particular through advanced HVDC power distribution. The focus is on developing robust reliability models for modern wide-bandgap power semiconductors (SiC, GaN), the early detection of arcing and partial discharges, and compact, active filter solutions to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI).

Low-cost Wide-bandgap (WBG) Power Transistor Technology for High-efficiency Power Electronic Systems

YESvGaN will establish a new class of vertical GaN power transistors which combines the performance benefits of vertical Wide Band Gap (WBG) transistors with the cost advantages of established silicon technology.
