IAA Transportation 2026

Fraunhofer IISB is exhibiting at IAA Transportation 2026 as a guest at the booth of DENSO (hall 12, booth C14).

There, we present a 1:18 scale demonstrator for inductive power transfer - equipped with a truck model. The demonstrator shows the principle of dynamic contactless energy transfer for commercial vehicles on the Electric Road. On an accompanying screen, we illustrate the underlying technology in a magnetic field simulation of a WPT3 model. A further exhibit is a drill core taken from a motorway, which demonstrates how the transmitter coils are integrated into the road surface.

Prof. Florian Risch, head of the IISB department E|Road-Center, will take part in the panel discussion "Beyond the Plug: Charging Commercial Fleets at Scale” in hall 12 on Wednesday, September 16, from 13:00 h to 13.45 h.
