The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft comprises 75 institutes and research facilities at locations throughout Germany. To make the best possible use of their diverse expertise, the institutes work together in thematic networks and alliances and develop joint solutions in projects. The Energy Materials and Test Devices department of Fraunhofer IISB is located in Freiberg. Together with Fraunhofer IKTS, we operate the Fraunhofer Technology Center for High-Performance Materials THM here.
