Our Team at AMPD 2026: Inspiring Exchange at the Annual Meeting Photonic Devices
We’re excited to share that Christian Schwemmer and Mostafa Kotkat represented the Computational Lithography and Optics Group at the 18th Annual Meeting Photonic Devices (AMPD 2026), held at Zuse Institute Berlin (ZIB) from April 28 to 30.
Since 2007, AMPD has brought together physicists, mathematicians, and electrical engineers to foster interdisciplinary dialogue on the simulation, physics, and development of next-generation photonic devices - spanning fundamental theory to real-world applications.
Christian and Mostafa presented a poster titled: Boosting light extraction from Si vacancy color centers in silicon carbide
The session sparked lively discussions with enthusiastic researchers, yielded valuable insights for future simulation projects, and ignited new ideas through exchanges with leading experts in nanophotonics, quantum emitters, and computational modeling. Thanks to Christian and Mostafa for their contribution - and to the Computational Nano Optics (CNO) group of the Zuse Institute for organizing another inspiring AMPD.
